Lexibase Collins is the most
complete and recently renewed version of the famous Collins dictionary on
CD-ROM with new, even more efficient functions : full-text search, layout
personalization, possibility to print. The dictionary covers over 500,000
translation in both languages. As a complimentary feature, the dictionary
includes English Thesaurus and English definition dictionary.
Lexibase Collins provides a very
good source of information both for professionals and new learners. Most of the
searched entires have examples of usage and context. The dictionary includes a
number of sophisticated searches based on what you wish to find in the
dictionary: alphabetical and approximate search intended to find a misspelled
word, full-text search displaying all the phrases with a searched word, and a
cross search. The search can be modified to include/exclude context or examples
of usage.
