In 1995, a prominent financial software, news and data company came to DataCal in need of products to support their stock trading software and computer systems. We designed and manufactured several custom templates and special use labels to assist their customers with training and using the complex software. Over the last fourteen years, we have continued to develop new custom products to enhance their current offerings. Because of consistent high quality and fast-turn-around, DataCal continues to further develop solutions for this leading financial institution.
In 1999, a recognized international children's retailer needed a custom keyboard solution for their stores that was both child-friendly and appealing to customers. DataCal designed and manufactured these custom keyboards using specialized type, symbols, colors and graphics to facilitate ease of use and create a fun-to-use keyboard. We now produce these keyboards in multiple languages for stores all over the world.
A well-known video editing company contacted DataCal recently in need of a cost-effective custom keyboard solution for video editing. The current video editing equipment came with a touch screen; however much existing technology requires a computer keyboard. To keep costs down, DataCal came up with a solution using specific keyboards and keys in stock, along with specialized design, to create keyboards with all needed functions in a short period of time within a limited budget.
A small textile mill was using pieces of paper taped to the keys for special use keys on their keyboards. The pieces of paper continually fell off or got lost. We worked with them to develop a cost-effective solution for only ten keyboards. By designing their custom keyboards using extra inventory and creative planning, DataCal gave this small company a solution they thought was financially impossible.
A leading national pharmacy needed a solution to insure correct processing of prescriptions in a timely manner. DataCal created several templates and labels which could be changed depending on application.
