The U-Cool washable keyboard is perfect for people who want a water-resistant keyboard that has the feel of a standard desktop keyboard at an economical price. The U-Cool is less expensive than our fully water-proof silicone keyboards. While the U-Cool keyboard is water-resistant, it is not considered a medical keyboard for infection control purposes. 

Cleaning and Disinfecting Instructions for the U-Cool Keyboard:

• Clean the surface of the product by wiping, brushing, or spraying. Use only rags, sponges, or soft bristle brushes.

• Either wipe the keyboard dry or allow it to air dry.

• The keyboard can be rinsed. After rinsing, drain, and turn upside down on a dry towel and allow to air dry completely.

• Always allow the keyboard to air dry before plugging it into the computer again.

• Do not submerge the keyboard into water or solutions. Doing so will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Disinfectants Recommended for the U-Cool keyboard:

• Chlorine based solutions (10% max solution) - Chlorox, Novalsan, etc.

• Formaldehyde based solutions - Formaldehyde solution 37%, Cinco Formaldegen, etc.

• Glutaraldehyde based solutions - Aldacide 200, Lysofume, Wavicide, etc.

• Phenol based solutions - Lysol I.C., Beaucoup, Magna Clean, Tek-Trol, etc.

• Alcohol based - Cavicide, Isopropyl alcohol, Medicide, etc.

• Oxidizing - Hydrogen peroxide 3% solution, Lifeguard Series, etc.

• Quaternary Ammonium - Roccal-D, Bacto-Sep, Parvosol, etc.

• Soap and water

Do not use the following cleaning solutions:

• Petroleum based cleaning fluids, such as gasoline

• Acetone

• Over 10% bleach solutions

• Temperature or pressure sterilization

• Buffing or scrubbing pads
